MedTablet – Mobile Point of Care

MedTablet is a new approach that wirelessly communicates both on WiFi & Cellular networks patient healthcare information, including medication orders, between the pharmacy and any health care facility bi-directionaly.  This allows the pharmacy to fill prescriptions, then transmit the patient information and pharmacy data to the nursing facility.   Transmitting the pharmacy’s information to the facility allows the facility to manage it’s own medical records, including physician orders, MAR’s, treatment records, sliding scale insulin orders, direct care records, and host of other information.  It’s all on the Microsoft Azure Cloud and is backed up every 5 minutes.  And because it’s mobile your data is in the cloud so no carrying massive paperwork or worrying about connections going down.  Cellular will take over automatically if enabled.

MedTablet Personal – Patient Portal

MedTablet Patient Portal is a Apple iPhone specific application that can be set up by the facility with restricted access to various patient information.   This information is restricted to only one cellular phone number with the limit of 2 patients (i.e. Husband & Wife).  It allows the responsible party limited access to their family members health care information.  It also allows the responsible party limited messaging to the care givers.

iAMOSDr – Laptop, Workstation & Tablet Physician EPCS Application

iAMOSDr was created to interface to a fully certified 3rd party application package to Send Controlled Substance Prescriptions Electronically. As e-Prescribing becomes the norm, the need for electronically prescribing Schedule II-V drugs is becoming greater. The Federal DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) requires that EPCS software meet strict requirements and go through a third-party audit to check that these requirements are met. This e-Prescribing system has both been audited by a Qualified DEA Auditor and Certified by Surescripts® to Electronically Send Controlled Substances.  With iAMOSDr, you can: e-Prescribe Schedule II-V drugs Utilize one easy to use workflow for all prescribing Improve security and patient safety Have nurses enter orders for physician to review and order Reduce medication errors resulting from bad handwriting Curtail forged and counterfeit prescriptions Reduce paper and increase workflow How does it work? The DEA requires a 2-Factor Authentication sign off, meaning when a prescriber electronically sends a controlled substance prescription they must sign it using something they know (e.g. a password) and something they have (e.g. a token). Each prescriber who wishes to e-Prescribe controlled substances must go through an identity proofing and authentication process in order to receive a token. This ensures the system is secure and safe! Where is EPCS Allowed? The DEA has approved e-Prescribing of controlled substances at the national level, but each state has its own EPCS regulations. Some states have approved all drugs, others have approved only schedule III-V drugs.

The patient wellness module also allows multiple ways of ordering refills, electronic messaging and texts, and an appointment manager that keeps track of upcoming appointments and sends notifications. All of the patient data is stored in a secured encrypted format with access to the data limited to the patient or persons that the patient has authorized and requiring dual authentication.

With the ever growing threat of cyber-attacks and data breaches it is of the utmost importance that your pharmacy data is fully protected. The HIPAA regulations specify that patient data in the pharmacy has to be encrypted even when the data is “at rest”. The Triad system meets and exceeds this HIPAA requirement.
